the 70x70x10 is the internal cavity space, not external dimensions
I put together some little trays for holding small fasteners – makes it so much easier to keep everything together during assembly / dis-assembly.
The little lip on the side of the base and lid makes it really easy to pull apart without spilling the contents.
I also find them handy for smt passives when soldering by hand, the sides are not too high, its easy to pick from the smt with tweezers. (its great for resistors, put the lid on, flip, and repick from the resistors the right way up). But I wouldn’t use this for ESD sensitive devices.
there is a 20mm version for longer fasteners.
The design has a clearance that suits my TEVO really well, the lid is a nice interference fit. I dont know how this will work out on your printer, you may need to rework the clearance to suit. I print this recipe in PLA, skirt only, no brim. Email me if you want further 3D printer setup info.
🙂 I hope this works out for you. Feel free to use the recipe for other tray dimensions.
