{"id":147,"date":"2015-02-10T02:16:26","date_gmt":"2015-02-09T15:16:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/furzy.com\/mikesblog\/?p=147"},"modified":"2015-04-17T21:54:41","modified_gmt":"2015-04-17T11:54:41","slug":"temperature-monitoring-system-on-mobile-machine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/furzy.com\/mikesblog\/2015\/02\/10\/temperature-monitoring-system-on-mobile-machine\/","title":{"rendered":"Temperature Monitoring System on Mobile Machine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Starting on a new project.<\/p>\n<p>A Temperature Monitoring System, on a mobile machine (a civil engineering machine in this case), with a LED Matrix display for the operators, and hand held control device for the owner \/ supervisor.<\/p>\n<p>The system will be developed in phases&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Phase 1 monitor 5 Temperature Points (PT100 sensors) and display colour bars and top temperature<\/li>\n<li>Phase 2 addition of a hand held monitoring \/ setup device for the machine supervisor \/ owner<\/li>\n<li>Phase 3 data logging (download through handheld device or by PC connection)<\/li>\n<li>Phase 4 addition of flow and pressure sensors<\/li>\n<li>Phase 5 valve control and process control decreasing the operator load<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To shorten the development cycle we will be buying in RS485 modbus modules for the IO.<\/p>\n<p>The Controller (Modbus Master with 3 RS485 ports, Ethernet with internal switch, CAN port) and the display controller are being developed in house.<\/p>\n<p>We will put up some more information as the parts come in and the system develops.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Starting on a new project.
