All the relevant registers for operation and status of the Fan and Sensors are fetched with a single polling query.<\/p>\n<p>The controller is designed to have a local power supply, or a backbone power connection. The distribution of power supplies for the backbone can be manipulated by the system designer.<\/p>\n<p>The Car Park Ventilation Firmware (FWVer01) interfaces to Fans with a Speed Controller (using RS485 Modbus), and has inputs for a CO Gas Sensor and Smoke Detectors.<\/p>\n<p>A typical system arrangement is shown below<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The hardware design is what you expect from an industrial grade device.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Connections including the RS485 ports are protected by transient protection devices.<\/li>\n<li>The Backbone Power Supply can be from 30V to 48V, allowing operation with voltage drops on cabling. The design includes rugged power management.<\/li>\n<li>The Backbone RS485 Network uses a ADM2687 isolated interface, preventing issues with current loops and common mode voltages.<\/li>\n<li>The Fan RS485 connection uses a\u00a0ADM2687 isolated interface.<\/li>\n<li>The 4 analog inputs can be setup (at manufacturing) for 4-20mA or Voltage inputs.<\/li>\n<li>Typical analog input uses are Gas Sensors and Smoke Detectors. Both sensor supply current and signals can be monitored.<\/li>\n<li>Isolated Opto Mosfet Output for controlling devices (for example a device enable).<\/li>\n<li>The local power supply input includes a series diode.<\/li>\n<li>Powerful ARM Cortex STM32F091 processor.<\/li>\n<li>Large MX25R8035 (1MByte) SPI Flash for Logging.<\/li>\n<li>6 module (108mm wide) \u00a0EN 60715 TH35 Din Rail Enclosure &#8211; Mounts into a Distribution Enclosure &#8211; neatly installs with a Meanwell HDR-60-48 (1 power supply per\u00a04-5 controllers depending on cabling).<\/li>\n<li>Plug in screw terminals for external wiring.<\/li>\n<li>Headers for IIC and UART for extra modules (eg add a Wireless Access Point for our Wireless Sensors).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Hardware Versions<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Firmware Versions<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The DIN001 Controller has been designed to interface to Ventilation Fans.
